The PRK Experience

Welcome to my blog "The PRK Exerperence." I hope to attract people who ask questions about everything related to Photorefractive Keratectomy. Whether it be questions or or answers you need, get some information from someone who has just undergone PRK surgery on both eyes.

While my blog might not be interesting to many, there are many of us out there who will undergo PRK, and hopefully this will be your guide to see you through!

Interesting reviews from other PRK patients

After browsing the web today to feed my daily interest into PRK I come across a website where people can leave reviews after their surgrey.

Most complain of the same problems I had, which was basically just the recovery discomfort straight after the surgery and the few following days.

I'd suggest you check it out, it's located here: http://www.realself.com/PRK/reviews

A good thing to note is almost all give a positive review once the healing process was done, with many saying they'd do it again.

It's comforting to know for anyone who might be fearful of the procedure!

For those new here to the PRK Experience

Welcome all. For those who are unsure what this blog is about, it's about PRK, also known as, Photorefractive keratectomy. It's a procedure similar to LASIK where your cornea is lasered to give you better vision.

It's now day 12 for me after my surgery, and I can tell you know distance has improved dramatically with long range vision, however short range still seems a tad blurry, but that's to be expected as the healing process continues.

I'll be posting alot of
Photorefractive keratectomy information into this blog, as I found before I went for the procedure there was a lot of limited information out there.

Hopefully this blog is of some assistance to all your wishing or about to under go a PRK procedure.
